At work updating my site!

Hello all you lovely people! :)

It is Sunday night, and I am MAKING time to work on the things I enjoy most, which I have put on the back burner for WAAAAY too long.

where there's a will there's a way
where there's a will there's a way

I know for quite some time now (many moons), there have been lots of starts and stops with creating new material, be it songs, videos, performances, my website and my blog. I have been trying my best to get back into it, but the reality is I have a full time "9-5" and for the longest time has been extremely busy, taking up most of my day, where by the time I get home, eat, unwind and decompress for a bit, I am super exhausted and it's time for sleep!

Of course there are the weekends. But as I am pretty sure many of you can empathize, weekends seem to be the time to do everything you did not have time to do during the week, so there we are.

However, I shall put my violin away🤣🎻 and let you know that out of all of the things I have going on creatively, the one that seems the easiest (for now) for me to be consistent with is my blog. I can pull out my laptop, start writing and voila! Blog post done.

This may seem very obvious. But for the longest time, because I have such a busy (and at times quite stressful) job, I have found myself feeling really "stuck" and not knowing what to do first - do I work on my songs, record a new video, update my website, learn some Japanese (yes, I want to speak, read, write and UNDERSTAND Japanese fluently!)? But I end up feeling overwhelmed and feeling like I don't have enough time in the evenings to do anything else other than just CHILL before I go to sleep, so I do none of the above.

However! I have been doing some internal work on MYSELF for the last couple of months, and one of the main things I have been working on is BLOCKAGE REMOVAL. Oh I have a lot of that as I have discovered, more than I was even aware of. But, that is a topic for another post. Suffice to say, I believe doing this has "cleared the cache" quite a bit for me and freed up a lot of my inner resources. I believe this has helped me to feel more calm and relaxed and better about my life in general, and thus a new (or renewed) spark to get going with the things that matter the most to me has lit up!

So there we are! Perhaps I will find more time now to do the things that I truly love, and you never know - some new doors may begin to open.

See you all in the next one!

Elaine ❤
